One Year of Finance, HR & Payroll in ConnectCarolina
Some functions have worked well since implementation – just about everyone got paid on time and correctly. Other functions have been reconfigured to better serve campus needs. For example, the team rolled out the Payroll Accounting Adjustment Tool (PAAT) in October 2015 to facilitate corrections to payroll accounting costs.
ConnectCarolina improvements are expected to continue for the foreseeable future.
Just as the legacy payroll system improved over its 46 years of use and the financial transactional system, FRS, was enhanced over its 26 years, ConnectCarolina improvements are expected to continue for the foreseeable future.
Over the course of seven to nine years, ConnectCarolina’s Student Administration applications reached a level of routine efficiency, freeing staff to implement new functionality to support student success (Thrive@Carolina improvements) and a new admissions system for the Graduate School and Kenan-Flagler Business School. On an ongoing basis, we can expect more efficiencies and new functionality to be offered in ConnectCarolina’s Finance and Human Resources applications as well.
