Project SIR reaches majority of campus workstations

As of July 2016 and two years into the program, the Sensitive Information Remediation Project, better known as Project SIR, had deployed Identity Finder at 25,507 workstations, of which 85 percent had either started or completed remediation.

More than 25,500 Identity Finder clients have been deployed.

ITS continues to collaborate with University schools and departments to facilitate employees in scanning and remediating data within their stewardship and to foster a culture of proper custodianship of sensitive information.

By educating users about sensitive data, proper custodianship of sensitive data will continue long after the conclusion of the project.
